Responsibilities
* You will plan and organise authorised tasks, making sure work is coordinated effectively across short, medium, and occasional long-term timelines.
* You’ll identify and share the impact of any changes on the Integrated Project Plan (IPL), raising observations and ensuring updates are understood and acted upon.
* You’ll build regular connections with a wide range of stakeholders, including UK and international customers, partners, and suppliers with daily/weekly interactions in the UK and monthly engagement with international customers.
* You’ll contribute to ongoing improvement, helping refine products, techniques, equipment designs, technologies, services and working practices, while occasionally developing or applying new ideas inspired by others.
* You will support and guide colleagues, overseeing workloads, reviewing work outcomes, allocating tasks, offering coaching, supporting development needs and helping people settle into new processes or responsibilities.
* You’ll play an engaged role in shaping and applying procedures and quality standards, including identifying updates, recommending changes, explaining requirements and ensuring they are applied effectively.
* You’ll travel across the UK and internationally (Germany, Italy and Spain) to support collaboration and maintain key working relationships.
Team Overview
The TDAS team plays a key role in supporting the Typhoon platform by validating technical information and illustrations for the UK customer. They ensure all data from the four European Partner Companies meets AECMA/EPS/SSP standards and agreed timescales, while maintaining essential processes and producing monthly reporting for TyTAN and Air leadership. The team acts as the UK point of contact for all TDAS activity, working closely with RAF Coningsby and Lossiemouth and responding to IPL/IPC queries. With collaboration across the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain, the team supports accurate, consistent and reliable technical data for an internationally operated weapon system.
Qualifications
* Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Experience.
* HNC or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline. Additional relevant knowledge, experience and product knowledge can offset the normal qualification requirements.
* Project Management/Integration/Configuration Management awareness with knowledge of several aspects of design engineering, procurement, programme management and systems engineering.
* IT literate including the use of Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel & Word).
* Experience of mentoring a team.
Desirable
* A broad knowledge of airframe engineering, IT/computing, personnel and training, manufacturing quality and test engineering.
* In‑depth knowledge of the Typhoon IPL & IPD products, associated specifications (i.e. EPS‑SSP & AECMA S2000M Rev 2.1) and identified toolsets.
* Broad knowledge of the Typhoon drawing system (SPJOE0019).
* Knowledge of the Typhoon IPL internal department processes.
* Extensive knowledge of the Typhoon Weapon System.
