Tactical Response Officer – Hull

Location: Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, United Kingdom (HU3 2)
Pay: £12.60 per hour (Pension & Perkbox, Wagestream)
Contract: Permanent – Full Time
Hours: 48 hours per week, Thursday – Sunday nights 18:00‑06:00 (plus overtime, Bank Holidays)
Key Responsibilities
* Respond promptly to alarm activations, assess and secure the scene, liaise with emergency services as needed.
* Conduct keykeeping duties, including unattended lock‑ups and unlocking premises at scheduled times.
* Carry out regular mobile and foot patrols across assigned sites or geographic zones to deter unauthorised activity.
* Ensure public safety, acting as a visible, professional presence in diverse environments.
* Perform routine security checks, including perimeter rounds, internal inspections, and hazard identification.
* Serve as first responder to emergencies such as fires or medical incidents, applying first aid as trained.
* Manage checkpoint tagging or time‑stamped patrol routes, demonstrating presence across multiple locations.
* Maintain incident reports and security logs, ensuring accuracy for audits and client records.
* Maintain proper radio and communication contact, reporting updates or threats in real‑time.
* Continuously check and report on vehicle condition and equipment status, including before‑and‑after shift safety checks.
* Demonstrate a high level of situational awareness, professionalism, and adherence to security protocol.
Essential Requirements
* SIA licence – Valid licence essential.
* Full UK manual driving licence – vehicle provided, based at a specific site.
* Experience in guarded services, especially retail security.
* Strong communication skills.
* Professional appearance.
* Capacity to handle conflict situations in a professional manner.
* One year of front‑line security guarding experience.
Desirable Qualifications
* Additional SIA accreditations.
* Good IT knowledge.
