The Role
We are looking for an experiencedRegistered Managerto open and lead a brand-newsolo placement childrens residential homein Bradley, Huddersfield.
This service will support young people withcomplex Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), using a 2:1 or 3:1 staffing model to provide stability, therapeutic input and consistent care.
The home is not yet registered, so the successful candidate must have direct experience of registering a childrens home and be confident in leading the process. From there, you will have full autonomy to manage the day-to-day running of the service, recruit and develop your team, and shape a safe and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on Ofsted registration and hold Registered Manager status
* Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the childrens home
* Recruit, train and lead a staff team in line with the homes values and model
* Embed trauma-informed and therapeutic practice into daily routines
* Ensure compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
* Oversee safeguarding, care planning, risk management and inspections
* Build strong relationships with young people, families, social workers and professionals
* Create a positive, stable and nurturing culture for both young people and staff
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience as aRegistered Managerwith Ofsted registration experience
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare), or working towards completion
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, EBD and regulatory compliance
* A calm, confident leadership style with excellent communication skills
* Commitment to building a stable, long-term culture and providing consistent care
* Flexibility to work hours around the needs of the service
