42 hours per week | Rotating shifts (5 days out of 7)Welcome to ArrivaWe’re looking for an Operations Supervisor to support the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of bus services at our Maidstone depot. This is a hands-on operational role where you’ll support drivers, manage daily service delivery, and respond to real-time operational challenges.What you’ll be doing
1. Act as the first point of contact for drivers throughout the operating day
2. Manage day-to-day service delivery, including duty allocation and network control
3. Respond to incidents such as service disruption, collisions, diversions, and passenger issues
4. Promote a strong Health & Safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance
5. Deliver driver briefings and support training, coaching, and performance standards
6. Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and lost property processes
7. Accurately record hours worked and support cost-effective operations
8. Contribute to daily KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking forEssential
9. PCV license
10. Supervisory experience in an operational or people-focused role
11. Good understanding of Health & Safety
12. Knowledge of the PCV/HGV industry
13. Experience working with Trade Unions
14. Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
15. Confident IT user
16. Flexible, resilient, and able to work under pressure
Desirable
17. First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
18. Coaching or people development experience
