Our key commercial and go to market segment is in financial services, primarily mortgage lenders including 9 of the top 10 mortgage providers.
The role
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join the Product team at Hometrack, part of Houseful. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the business, being responsible for the product development and delivery of features for our flagship property risk platform for lenders.
Property Risk Hub is our data, decisioning and analytics platform lenders can configure and integrate with for instant mortgage decisioning throughout the end-to-end mortgage journey. As a Product Manager you will partner with a Senior Product Manager to understand and align the development plan to property and climate risk and decision automation strategy and organise the backlog, prioritising and assessing items of work for an Agile engineering team, to roll out new products, propositions, enhancements, and functionalities.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with your team through discovery to test your hypothesis, using data and insight to drive your decision making and product development.
* Steer prioritisation at the product team level, within the constraints of the agreed objectives and outcomes as well as manage and communicate tradeoffs.
* Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders for discovery and to gather business needs and input, resolving issues and clearing obstacles
* Break business requirements down into features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria, working with the Software and Solution Architect to establish feasibility and approach
* Work with the engineering team to refine stories and estimate subtasks, set sprint goals and plan and coordinate releases
* Groom, sequence and prioritise the backlog in accordance with the product roadmap, technology strategy and resource availability
* Support the cross team product operations to continuously refine and improve our agile methodology
* Collaborate with commercial, sales and product marketing on the go to market strategy for new products or services including pricing, calculations of costs and ROI and CAC
* Keep key stakeholders up to date, communicating short, medium and longer term roadmap as well as release planning, management and communications
* Accountable for the tracking and performance of all KPIs for your product, implementing product analytics and ensuring a focus on performance is embedded within your team.
Essential Skills
* Experience as a Product Manager in a data rich environment, preferably financial services, fintech or proptech or in another analytics focused product organisation.
* Experience building data products and data centric API's you understand technical language and terms used for api-first services, automated processes and have database knowledge
* Highly collaborative approach to product development with cross-functional delivery teams and stakeholders
* Value-centric approach to work. You are driven by delivering measurable value to customers
* Agile software development and product discovery methodologies. You reflect the importance of continuous, iterative delivery of value, plus the tools and techniques to facilitate this. You define solutions based on a thorough, methodical and data-driven approach
* Team spirit and highly effective written and verbal communication skills to lead and influence a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Obsession with learning. Whether it's driving key product KPIs, learning new skills or the nuances of the market you are always reflecting on what can be improved and how to get there
