MSS Facilities Ltd and the RSK Group are recruiting for a Waste Operative to join the team based in Newport, South Wales. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The MSS Group is a specialist provider of facilities, industrial, and environmental services with expertise in hazardous, highly regulated, and complex environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Waste Handling: Collect, segregate, and manage waste materials generated within our facilities, including recyclables, non-recyclables, hazardous, and non-hazardous substances.
2. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations, health, and safety standards governing waste management activities, including proper disposal methods and documentation.
3. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain waste management equipment such as compactors, balers, and recycling machinery to facilitate efficient waste processing and disposal.
4. Safety Protocol Adherence: Execute all waste management tasks with strict adherence to safety protocols, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in ongoing safety training programs.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Forklift Licence is essential.
2. Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
4. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
