GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school community in Sheffield. As a SEN TA, you will help create a nurturing, safe environment where every child feels supported and valued. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will be: Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs. Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities. Helping manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner. Fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals to support pupil progress. To be an SEN Teaching Assistant, a candidate required to: Have experience supporting children with SEN, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs. Be patient, empathetic, and adapt to individual learning styles. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Hold a relevant qualification or have prior school-based experience. Have an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one. Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the past 10 years.
