Progress Teachers is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to support a mainstream secondary school in its mission to increase accessibility for all pupils. The successful candidate will work closely with a caseload of pupils, helping them develop tools to overcome learning barriers and achieve academic and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting class teachers and the SENDCO with daily tasks
* Adhering to the school's rules and promoting its ethos and values
* Maintaining enthusiasm and high expectations for pupils
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to students
* Attending CPD sessions to develop professional skills for supporting pupils with diverse SEN or SEMH needs
* Building positive relationships with students and demonstrating resilience
* Ensuring students' physical, social, and emotional well-being
