Assistant Growing Manager - Spalding Salary circa £45,000 per annum Full time and permanent contract JDR are currently recruiting for an Assistant Growing Manager to join our produce client in the Spalding area. This is a fantastic opportunity and we're open to speaking with candidates from a variety of backgrounds eg, farming, flowers, chemicals etc. This client offers great opportunities for internal development within the organisation. This is a full-time on-site role in the Spalding area, successful candidates must be able to commute to the office daily. What you'll be doing - Support and assist with the effective growing and harvesting of crops Maintaining standards of quality, hygiene and safety Ensure times are met and product is produced to specification and in time for the customer needs Retain and develop your team including a mixture of internal and agency staff Monitor and control the general housekeeping of the forcing rooms and greenhouse, ensuring corrective action is taken when needed What we're looking for - Previous experience of working in a similar role, ideal backgrounds would be farming, flowers, fresh produce An awareness of product defects that can affect the quality and harvest of crops National diploma in Agriculture or equivalent Strong knowledge and understanding of pesticides Comprehensive computer and IT skills Strong communication skills and people management experience This is a full-time role working 45 hours per week, successful candidates must be flexible to work various hours Monday to Friday.
