Job Description:
This is a unique and challenging opportunity to take on multi-site responsibility across an expanding pharmaceutical manufacturing business that is looking to strengthen its approach to consistent Health and Safety management. Over the past two years, the company has successfully increased manufacturing and headcount, with Health and Safety remaining a key focus.
While the role is multi-site focused, it also requires hands-on responsibility for all aspects of Health and Safety, not just oversight.
The manufacturing environment is unique and requires previous experience in radiation and/or radioactivity. The successful candidate will create consistent procedures and support local site challenges to maintain compliance.
As the business plans to expand its facilities, the HSE Manager will be responsible for developing new documentation and processes for implementation.
This position is based remotely and not tied to a single facility. Travel to sites across the UK will be expected approximately once a month. Flexibility to travel is essential, and a car or car allowance will be provided.
Initially, in the first 6 months, there will be a requirement to spend 3 days on-site at a South-East Surrey facility to support immediate challenges.
For further information, please contact Mark Bux-Ryan.
Key Experience:
* Established HSE / Health and Safety professional with hands-on experience
* Experience in radioactive settings (not limited to pharmaceuticals)
* IRR17 experience and radiological risk assessment skills
* Practical approach with the ability to work with all levels within the business
