Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Building Control team. In this role, you will manage a caseload of applications, respond to dangerous structures, enforcement and demolition matters, and make a real impact on the safety and quality of the built environment.
Responsibilities
* Making professional judgements on the adequacy of building work and its compliance with regulations.
* Responding to and resolving dangerous structures.
* Determining and applying the most appropriate enforcement powers to address non-compliance.
* Providing advice on relevant legislation and associated quality assurance systems.
* As part of the team, helping deliver a high-quality Building Control service in line with legislation and professional standards.

Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team; travel to and from your contractual location is at your own expense. Starting salary will be pro rata if the position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
