Role Overview
It’s an exciting time to join #TeamLNWH. The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams at London North-West University Healthcare NHS Trust are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Therapy Assistant Practitioner to deliver high‑quality rehabilitation to their patients.
The role will be based in an acute in‑patient ward at Northwick Park Hospital, working within the existing therapy team to provide a high standard of care as part of the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and Older Persons Short Stay Unit (OPSSU).
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical assessment and treatments under the supervision of qualified staff.
* Assist in triaging, prioritisation and new patient assessments.
* Review equipment and care needs, and deliver rehabilitation programmes.
* Support discharge planning and become familiar with referral processes for community and other inpatient facilities.
* Work alongside a multi‑disciplinary team in an acute in‑patient setting.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
* Area‑specific training will be provided.
