About The Role
We are looking for a proactive, organised, and motivated Service Delivery Officer to join our Tree Services team as part of the Customer Hub at Nottingham City Council. You will play a key role in supporting greener, safer, and thriving spaces across our city. Your work will directly contribute to the Council’s vision of putting citizens first by delivering tailored, flexible business support. From managing operational reports to stakeholder communications, you will ensure smooth service delivery and positive outcomes for Nottingham’s communities. This post also plays a key role in the wider Business Support Team.

What You Will Be Doing As Service Delivery Officer
* Providing a comprehensive business support service across Tree Services
* Preparing accurate data reports and presentations with minimal supervision
* Handling stakeholder interactions professionally and building strong relationships
* Triaging incoming tree related requests and emergency tree works in line with the Urban Forest Strategy and working effectively with Tree Officers, Arborists and the Tree Services Manager
* Supporting financial transactions for schools inspections and budget monitoring
* Supporting Right to Buy with Tree Preservation Order checks
* Mentoring new staff and helping colleagues grow
* Identifying improvements to processes and promoting smarter use of technology
* Upholding the Council’s commitments on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and climate change
What We Are Looking For
* Strong organisational and communication skills for a wide range of audiences
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver on time
* Knowledge of business and finance administration processes
* A commitment to EDI, sustainability, and citizen-first values
* Solid IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems. Technical aptitude to generate new reports
* Proven experience in an administrative/customer service role, preferably within a public service or environmental organisation
