Chichester Harbour National Landscape is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to lead critical operational work and delivery of new projects. Reporting directly to the National Landscape Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in conserving and celebrating the natural beauty, wildlife, and heritage of this nationally important site. The Role As Operations Manager, you’ll provide leadership and hands-on support to our dedicated teams across: Ecology, education, farming and countryside management. You’ll: Guide and develop teams to deliver excellence in their work. Oversee operational performance, set targets, and balance competing priorities. Drive the design and delivery of innovative conservation and access projects, ensuring they are impactful, on time, and on budget. Lead our journey towards net zero, starting with the delivery of a Climate Change Adaptation Plan. Deputise for the National Landscape Director at senior management meetings and represent us with partners and stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to combine leadership, strategy, and project delivery in a role that directly shapes the future of Chichester Harbour. About You We’re looking for someone who is not only experienced but also passionate about making a difference. You’ll bring: A relevant degree-level education (e.g. social or environmental science), with postgraduate qualifications desirable. At least three years’ proven experience as an Operations or Project Manager (or equivalent role), including line management of diverse teams. A strong track record of building and sustaining positive relationships with staff, partners, and stakeholders. The ability to inspire, innovate, and deliver measurable results.
