Lia's Wings is looking to appoint a Fundraising Manager into a brand new role, at an incredibly exciting time for the charity. As the only aeroplane ambulance charity for children in the UK, we are experiencing a period of phenomenal growth, with incredible opportunities and potential for fundraising.
Being responsible for the management and delivery of our challenge events, special events, and community fundraising activities, this role involves working with some of our most committed supporters on a series of engaging (and fun) events that are continuing to grow year on year. The Fundraising Manager will also support our corporate partners and engage with our Family Fundraising efforts, giving supporters the opportunity to meet and work with our beneficiaries firsthand.
This is a hybrid role: mostly remote, but requiring travel to regular (fortnightly) team meetings in central London (Zone 1) or at our operating base at Biggin Hill Airport, and to manage events across the UK throughout the year.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing various fundraising events, and a passion for stewarding supporters. We seek a creative, problem-solving fundraiser who can support supporters, donors, and fundraisers of all levels to maximize every opportunity.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, this role is vital to Lia's Wings' growth and offers a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to make a real difference in a small charity environment.
Over the past year, we've seen increased interest in fundraising for Lia’s Wings, leading to new events and partnerships with schools and social clubs across the UK. We also participate in well-known charity challenges, including marathons and bespoke challenges like our Overseas Cycle Challenge, Shark dive, Skydive, and Three Peaks, with plans to develop these further.
Corporate partnerships are a key income stream, involving managing event support from various companies and maintaining strong relationships with them. We also aim to expand our network of community groups supporting Lia’s Wings, including schools and social clubs.
Additionally, we host an annual seasonal event, the “Jingle and Mingle,” which can be further developed as part of the role.
