About the role
We’re a specialist Eating Disorder Day Programme in North London. The position is for an Occupational Therapist who wants challenge, growth and purpose while delivering intensive, recovery‑focused treatment to patients with eating disorders.
Main duties of the job
* Managing own caseload of patients with eating disorders.
* Facilitating therapeutic groups, including community‑based groups such as Social Snack and Shop and Cook.
* Conducting physical health assessments and interpreting blood results.
* Providing self‑harm management.
* Adapting therapeutic approaches to meet diverse communication and sensory needs, including autistic patients and those with severe physical compromise.
* Collaborating with inpatient and outpatient teams.
* Deputising for the Day Programme Manager, supervising junior staff and students, and providing operational support (patient escort duties, activity supervision).
* Supporting planned service development in collaboration with the Day Programme Manager.
Education and qualifications
Essential
* Diploma/degree in occupational therapy and HCPC registration.
Desirable
* Additional study or advanced qualifications.
Experience and knowledge
Essential
* Post‑qualification experience in mental health, working with adults.
* Experience managing a caseload and utilising a range of assessments.
* Knowledge of occupational therapy models for mental health and older people.
* Understanding of mental health conditions including developmental, neurological, personality, mood disorders and psychosis.
Desirable
* Experience working with statutory and voluntary agencies.
* Experience supervising students and staff.
Skills and abilities

* Excellent written, oral and group communication skills.
* Well‑organised and computer literate.
Desirable
* Experience with computer databases and spreadsheets.

Salary: £45,953 to £54,254 per annum inclusive of Outer London HCAs.
