The role
The Rosalind Franklin Institute (the Franklin) is a UK technology institute for life sciences, funded by UKRI. We combine imaging tools with chemical and biological platforms to innovate in understanding life sciences.
As a Post Doctoral Researcher, you will contribute scientific expertise to deliver specific research projects, develop independent and creative science, and build your scientific reputation.
The project focuses on designing and constructing a lab-scale soft X-ray microscope for biological imaging using ultrafast lasers and coherent diffractive imaging techniques. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working at the Rutherford Appleton Labs on the Harwell Campus, collaborating with experts in laser science, physics, chemistry, computer science, and biology.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate a new ultrafast laser lab for biological imaging applications.
* Plan, conduct, and analyze experiments, and deliver research outputs.
