SALARY: £24, 858 per annum

HOURS: 37 hours per week

CONTRACT TYPE: Full time

OPERATIONAL AREA: West Midlands

LOCATION: Stoke on Trent base, with regular travel around West Midlands area when required

The Role

The Project Officer will support the Land Team in the delivery of countryside and conservation-based projects across Groundwork West Midlands’ portfolio of country parks, nature reserves, and community greenspaces. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong practical background in countryside management, conservation, or land-based work.

Key Duties

1. Lead on-site maintenance tasks, coordinate conservation tasks, and deliver high-quality engagement activities with local schools and community groups.
2. Assisting in project planning, community engagement, working with partners, gathering feedback and reporting on outcomes and project progress.
3. Ensure that all projects are inclusive, high-quality, and delivered in line with client / partner specifications, within budget, and on schedule.
4. Supervise volunteers, ensuring compliance with GWWM policies and fostering their professional growth.

A full driving licence is essential and access to own vehicle for the role which entails travel to various sites around the region.
