Pharmacy services within NHS Tayside are a vital part of delivering high-quality healthcare to individuals in custody. We are seeking, forward-thinking Registered Pharmacy Techniciansto join our prison healthcare teams acrossHMP Perth, HMP Castle Huntly and HMP Bella CCU.
In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective, and patient-focused pharmaceutical care. Key responsibilities include medicines reconciliation, conducting face-to-face clinics, and liaising closely with community pharmacies, GP practices, and other prison sites. You will also play an important role in educating and training healthcare staff on the safe and effective use of medicines.
Applicants must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have substantial post-qualification experience, ideally with knowledge of community pharmacy and caring for individuals with complex or problematic healthcare needs.
The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be mobile across multiple sites.
