Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: Thetford, Norfolk
Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-5:30pm
Job Specification:
Operate 3-axis CNC machines, including safe loading and unloading of work pieces
Set up machines with tools, fixtures, and materials to meet production requirements
Work from engineering drawings and job sheets to produce components to specification
Carry out basic CNC programming or make simple edits to existing programs (desirable but not essential)
Monitor machining processes, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to tolerances
Inspect finished parts using standard measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and safe
Support production flow by collaborating with other departments (finishing, coatings, fabrication)
Follow company Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards (ISO 9001/14001/45001 certified)
Maintain accurate records of jobs, inspections, and any adjustments made
Key Skills:
CNC machining experience (3-axis preferred)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Safe and efficient machine operation (loading/unloading)
Basic CNC programming knowledge (advantageous)
Quality inspection and measurement skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and time-management skills
Team player with good communication skills
