About Opportunity
Amentum are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our Technology Division. Our team is primarily based at our Birchwood office Warrington however the role can be based at our Warrington, Knutsford or Manchester Office.
The Advanced Reactors Operations Manager is a leadership and growth-focused role within Amentum’s Technology Division, responsible for shaping, scaling, and delivering advanced reactor development capability to both a mature and emerging global client base.
This role is suited to an ambitious individual motivated by, working as part of a team, to develop and convert opportunities into business growth whilst building capability, growing client relationships, and influencing the future deployment of advanced nuclear reactors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and grow the advanced reactor business
2. Contribute to business growth through opportunity development, proposals, and thought leadership
3. Work collaboratively across Amentum Business Divisions to coordinate strategy and align joint capability and delivery
4. Act as the operational interface for internal and external clients, owning outcomes rather than individual technical solutions
5. Work as part of a team to define and implement growth strategies for advanced reactor programmes, drawing on specialist experts as required
6. Build, manage, and motivate multidisciplinary teams, aligning technical expertise to client needs
7. Oversee delivery of consultancy projects, ensuring safety, quality, consistency, and commercial performance
8. Motivate/support your operating unit through proactive engagement with their career aspirations and development
9. Act as a role model and leader, creating a positive working environment
10. Represent in external forums, partnerships, and client engagements

Here’s What You’ll Need
14. Degree in relevant technical or engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
15. Strong commercial awareness and a desire and ambition to grow business capability and client impact
16. Experience in the nuclear market
17. Proven ability to lead teams and integrate specialist technical expertise
18. Confidence operating at senior client level (internal and external), influencing decisions, and building trust
19. Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery
20. Comfortable working in a consultancy or advisory-led environment
21. Ambitious and growth-oriented mindset
22. Leadership over individual technical mastery
23. Comfortable making decisions with input from experts
24. Motivated by building something new and influential
