An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead or Principal Electrical Engineer to contribute to major energy transition and energy security projects. The role involves the development of electrical power system designs that underpin complex process designs. I am seeking a Lead/Principal Engineer for these projects, and demonstrable experience in designing large industrial power systems is a prerequisite for the role.
This position would suit a highly experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in large-scale industrial power systems. Ideal candidates will have prior involvement in energy sector projects such as hydrogen, ammonia, LNG, or refining, and be confident working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop electrical power system designs to support process engineering.
Perform sizing and selection of high-voltage equipment, frequency converters, and AC/DC UPS systems.
Produce and review engineering philosophies and technical specifications.
Contribute to project cost estimation through input to electrical design scopes.
Carry out or review power system studies using tools such as ETAP.

In return you'll receive a rate up to £62.00 per hour via Limited Company (role has been deemed outside of IR35).
