Overview
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse Deputy Home Manager to work in an exceptional care home in Southport, Lancashire. The care home provides care for patients with a physical disability due to an acquired brain injury (ABI) or progressive neurological condition (PNC), learning disability, or mental illness such as epilepsy. To be considered, you must be a qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC PIN.
Responsibilities
* Support the Home Manager to ensure the home runs smoothly and meets regulatory standards (CQC/RQIA).
* Lead, guide, and inspire the senior care team to provide outstanding, person-centred support.
* Build strong relationships with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
* Hold regular staff meetings and maintain open, positive communication.
* Help new staff settle in with thorough inductions and ongoing training.
* Oversee risk assessments and safety checks to ensure the home is safe and compliant.
* Contribute to quality checks and audits, and seek continuous improvement.
* Work with regional managers to develop and introduce new ideas and services.
* Ensure staff feel valued, supported, and motivated to do their best.
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified as a Registered Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC PIN.
* Strong clinical skills.
* Natural leadership: approachable, supportive, and able to bring out the best in others.
* Passionate about high-quality care.
* Organised, proactive, and confident in managing risk assessments, audits, and compliance.
* Knowledge of ABI is beneficial.

* £48,000 per annum (permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours/week).
