About the Role
Bromley Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead the Referral & Assessment Service within Children’s Social Care. This is a fast‑paced frontline role requiring strong leadership, oversight of complex cases, and the ability to drive high‑quality, timely decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Referral & Assessment team
* Oversee high‑risk and complex safeguarding referrals
* Ensure timely decision‑making and effective case allocation
* Provide reflective supervision and support to social workers
* Maintain high standards of practice and compliance
* Work closely with partners to ensure coordinated responses
* Support service performance, quality assurance and improvement activity
What You’ll Need
* Qualified Social Worker (SWE registered)
* Team Manager experience in Referral & Assessment is essential
* Strong safeguarding, risk assessment and frontline management skills
* Ability to work in the office 3 days per week
* Confident decision‑maker with excellent leadership capability
