Press Tool Maker, Redditch, up to £18.50 per hour
My client is a well-established manufacturing / engineering company. They are looking to recruit a proven press tool maker for their in-house tool room due to retirement.
Reporting to the Tool Room Manager, the Press Tool Maker is responsible for the hands-on manufacture, build, try-out, repair, and preventive maintenance of press tooling across the company.
The role demands a high level of craft skill, precision, and practical engineering judgement, and is central to the companys ability to bring new tooling into service reliably, maintain the productivity of the press shop, and protect the long-term value of its tooling assets. The Tool Maker works in close partnership with the Press Tool Design Engineer and provides practical expertise that feeds back directly into the design process.
