In this role you will: This role takes responsibility for the qualifying, quoting, and conversion of group bookings. You will receive booking requests from our key clients, evaluate them, and using your knowledge of our products, prepare a proposal which best fulfills their request. Your aim will be to provide the client with the best value for their budget and ensure their future business. Once a booking has concluded, you will follow up with the client to investigate where improvements or changes might be made for future bookings. Key responsibilities: Ensure weekly quoting targets met, that requests are qualified and followed-up on effectively. Be up to date with planning cycles, provide the right products, and prices within client deadlines. Become familiar with the markets for which you are responsible for: who are the competitors, expectations, how they work, etc. Ensure that you deliver on your key targets including quoted turnaround times, conversion levels on enquiries, % return on offer, and after travel sales calls. Qualify all new enquiries and follow-up verbal contact as soon as possible. Follow correct quoting procedure, pricing policy, and be aware of which hotels to promote. Be commercially aware to protect margins and look to maximise returns. Provide scanned images and brochure material when required. Assist with product development by: Keeping up to date on new hotels, re-openings, or events that arise. Making full use of the current range of contracted services. Responding to enquiries by customers or sales staff and communicating these clearly to the product team. The skills we would love to see in your suitcase A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Exceptional customer service and results driven attitude. Highly accurate with an excellent attention to detail. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to make decisions and to work on one’s own initiative as well as in a team. Excellent organizational skills. Experience in negotiation. Hospitality or Tourism industry experience. Professional fluency in English. Tour operator experience is a plus.
