A varied purchasing role working for this established and successful construction business. With an immediate start available, this role is initially for 3 months with a strong possibility of being extended or being made permanent. This role will take responsibility for ensuring that products and materials are available in a timely manner, whilst keeping inventory levels within agreed limits. Working as part of a supportive and established team, you will be given a huge amount of autonomy while working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Key areas of focus pertain to: ensuring that the demand plan is robust; forecasting demand accurately; raising Purchase Orders to ensure stock availability; update and circulate KPI reports; and support continuous improvement initiatives across inventory management and purchasing.
To succeed in this role, you will be able to start at short notice and have a self-motivated and positive approach to your work. With high levels of initiative, you will be highly organised and be able to work in a versatile and solutions-focused manner. Experience in a construction environment would be useful with demonstrable experience in a manufacturing environment and exposure to ERP/MRP systems essential.
