Quality Engineer (Manufactured Parts) £35,000 - £40,000 + Training + Career Progression Hyde
Are you a Quality Inspector or Quality Technician looking to progress into a Quality Engineer role within a leading manufacturing environment?
Do you have hands-on experience inspecting manufactured or engineered components and want to develop your career into a more technical Quality Engineering position focused on systems, compliance, and continuous improvement?
This is an opportunity to join a well-established UK manufacturer of bolts and pipeline commodities, supplying global markets from a 24/7 production facility. With almost 50 years of experience, the company is committed to maintaining high quality standards, strong technical capability, and continuous improvement across its operations.
In this role, you will support the Quality function across the full production process from customer purchase order through to final product dispatch supporting compliance, documentation, inspections, and problem-solving activities.
This role would suit someone with a background as a Quality Inspector or similar within manufacturing, looking to step into a Quality Engineer position.
The Role:
* Support and maintain Quality Management Systems in line with ISO 9001:2015, API Q1 standards, and internal procedures, ensuring compliance throughout production processes.
* Identify, report, and manage quality issues, including non-conformances, customer complaints, and supplier NCRs, ensuring timely documentation and resolution.
* Work with Production and Technical teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (RCA/CAPA), supporting inspections and audit readiness.
* Conduct inspections and maintain quality records, ensuring full traceability, while analysing defect trends and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
The Person:
* Experience as a Quality Inspector/Technician within manufacturing environments.
* Knowledge of non-conformance processes, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
* Commutable to Hyde
