Job Description:
Pulse has recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist providers of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to support the clinical leadership of the service. This role is based in Melton Mowbray.
About the role:
As a Speech & Language Therapist, you will work in a private 50-bed hospital specializing in Adult Neuro-Rehabilitation for individuals with acquired brain injuries, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, or progressive neurological conditions, aiming to reduce challenging behaviour and optimise functional skills.
Duties:
* Provide assessment, management, and treatment of communication difficulties and disorders following brain injury.
* Participate in ward rounds and care-plan meetings.
* Deliver training for new starters from a communication perspective.
* Prioritize your caseload and develop as a clinical practitioner.

Your main responsibilities:
* Demonstrate specialist skills in managing complex cases, considering cultural and linguistic differences, and develop appropriate strategies.
* Undertake audits and contribute to research in treatment provision.
* Possess specialist knowledge in acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
What we are looking for:
* HCPC registration.
* Understanding of the impact of mental health on communication difficulties and disorders.
* Robust knowledge of acquired brain injury (ABI) and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
