SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Chorley or South Ribble
Start Date: As soon as possible
Pay: £90-£100 per day
Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm
Are you looking for a new SEN Teaching Assistant role?
Veritas Education is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant at an Outstanding SEN School specialising in ASD. We are interested in candidates with an interest or experience in working with SEN students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' holistic development.
* Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to staff.
* Apply behaviour management and de-escalation strategies confidently.
* Have good knowledge of the National Curriculum to support student learning.
* Maintain an optimistic outlook and determination to improve children's education.
Application Requirements for Veritas Education:
* Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with safeguarding policies.
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment, with explanations for any employment breaks.
* Legal right to work in the UK is required.
* Willingness to attend a registration interview.
