Operations Manager - DVSA
The Operations Manager is a key member of the DVSA Corporate Senior Leadership Team, responsible for the national delivery of operational services to meet customer expectations. Joining our department offers many benefits, including:

The post holder will lead operational delivery teams of 250-300 staff through supporting managers. They are responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery, effective planning, and maintaining operational standards. This role directly impacts road safety outcomes and involves developing business improvements, managing performance, and fostering talent development. The Operations Manager will also liaise with policy and service heads to support business improvements and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership, influence, and guidance to support the delivery of objectives, maintaining integrity and upholding the reputation of the Agency and Civil Service.
* Lead vehicle testing operations across regional teams, ensuring consistent, quality service delivery.
* Ensure operational standards, quality expectations, and service levels are met and aligned with business targets.
* Maintain effective communication and engagement with staff and management teams.
* Develop and implement operational plans to deliver high-quality, value-for-money services.
* Drive improvements based on QA and audit outcomes, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with strategic partners to develop business plans responding to changing priorities.
* Act as a liaison for specific services, providing operational expertise and supporting legislative and procedural updates.
* Coordinate with internal departments to meet customer needs and ensure clear communication across the business.
