We work to our values of - Leadership, Respect, Integrity, Openness, Teamwork and Ambition
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your HR and recruitment skills within a supportive, values‑driven organisation, contributing to meaningful work that directly supports our workforce and wider community.
Over recent months, we have been reviewing the HR service delivery model to ensure the department is equipped to meet the evolving needs of our Service. As a result, we are realigning parts of the structure creating two new roles of Resourcing Manager and Systems Administrator/Team Leader. Existing roles of HR Assistant and Service Centre Assistant are now being recruited to following the review.
What we are looking for:

Strong system knowledge and the ability to use recruitment platforms and metrics to improve processes and enhance the candidate experience are essential.
The role requires someone who is organised, creative, able to manage competing deadlines, and committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion throughout the recruitment process.
About the Role:
You will work with the Senior HR Partner to deliver the Service’s Resourcing Strategy, ensuring we attract, select and retain the best talent. You will lead the ongoing development of the Recruitment System and oversee all recruitment across the Service, supporting the full recruitment lifecycle from job design to onboarding.
You will manage the HR Assistant and Service Centre Team Leader, ensuring a high‑quality recruitment and HR support service. The role also includes producing recruitment insights, delivering manager training, and ensuring recruitment processes are inclusive, legally compliant and aligned with DFRS values.
You will also attend career and recruitment events, including occasional evenings or weekends.
There will be a requirement for some travel for which a pool car will be provided.
Please see the attached Job Description/Person Specification for more information about this exciting role.
