About the Role
Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in young peoples lives? Do you excel at building trusted, professional relationships with children? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Emotional Literacy Support Practitioner (ELSP) to join our inclusive pastoral team. In this vital role, you will provide targeted emotional literacy, pastoral, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) support.
You will work relationally and proactively with children who need an extra layer of support to access learning, regulate their emotions, develop positive peer relationships, and successfully engage in school life. From delivering 1:1 structured interventions to helping a child overcome barriers like anxiety or school non‑attendance, you will be a safe, regulated, and reassuring presence in our school community.
Responsibilities
* Deliver targeted emotional literacy, pastoral, and SEMH support to children.
* Provide 1:1 structured interventions to help children overcome anxiety and attendance barriers.
* Build trusted, professional relationships with children and support their emotional regulation and peer relationships.
* Act as a safe, regulated, and reassuring presence throughout the school community.
