Location : Woking - Surrey (4 days a week on site is a must)

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Role Details:
We are seeking a
Process Designer
for an upcoming
12-month FEED project
in the oil & gas/petrochemical sector. This role will involve leading and developing process design deliverables, including PFDs and P&IDs, and translating engineering concepts into practical design drawings using industry-standard CAD tools.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and develop process design deliverables, including PFDs and P&IDs.
2. Review and correct drawings based on check prints before submission to the Lead Engineer/Principal Engineer.
3. Translate engineering concepts into practical design drawings using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SmartPlant, PDMS, Plant 3D, or equivalent).
4. Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
2. Minimum: Certificate in the Drafting trade.
3. Preferably with Saudi Aramco project experience.
4. 15+ years of experience in process design within oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, or related industries.
5. Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, SmartPlant P&ID, Plant 3D, PDMS, or E3D.
6. Strong knowledge of process and piping design principles, including equipment layout and safety design.
Reporting:
1. The Process Designer will report to the Principal Engineer or Lead Engineer.
Assignment Duration:
1. 12 months, with possible extension working outside IR35.
