About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the Salford Division at Cromwell House Community Mental Health Team. The role is band 8A and is part of a multidisciplinary team that values psychological ideas and practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high quality clinical psychology services, including assessment and therapy for clients with complex mental health and psychological needs.
* Contribute to the Community Transformation Project, supporting the inclusion of six core therapeutic modalities and delivering interventions via a specialist hub.
* Attend and actively contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, supporting clinical decision‑making and care planning.
* Provide supervision and consultation to CMHT staff to enhance psychological expertise and service quality.
* Participate in audit, research, service development initiatives and teaching/training activities.
* Where appropriate, support the provision of psychological interventions as part of the virtual psychology hub, including citywide working.
Qualifications & Training
Applicants should have, or be willing to obtain, training and accreditation in one or more of the following modalities:
* CBT‑Psychosis and bipolar
* Behavioural Family Interventions
* Structured Clinical Management
* Mentalisation Based Therapy
* Cognitive Analytic Therapy
* EMDR
Particular value will be given to training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy, CBT for psychosis and bipolar, and EMDR.
Additional Information
Smoking is not permitted within Trust premises. A DBS check is required and must be maintained throughout employment. The post will be subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks.
