This position is to supervise family time each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in a family contact centre. Consistency is key for families so preference is required for a worker who can commit to these ongoing hours.

Role Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and professional Family Time Supervisors to facilitate safe and structured contact sessions between children looked after and their parents or family members. The successful candidate will ensure that each session is child-focused, safe, and supportive, in line with statutory guidance and organisational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and support children and parents during family time sessions, ensuring safety and emotional well-being.
* Encourage positive interactions and communication between children and parents.
* Record detailed, objective observations of each session, noting interactions, behaviours, and any concerns.
* Report incidents or safeguarding concerns promptly to the designated safeguarding lead.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection standards.
* Attend training and supervision sessions as required.
Person Specification:
* Experience working with children and families, ideally in social care, fostering, or related fields.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and the needs of children looked after.
* Excellent observational, communication, and report-writing skills.
* Patient, empathetic, and able to manage challenging behaviours professionally.
* Ability to remain neutral and objective in sensitive situations.
* Relevant qualifications in childcare, social work, or related disciplines are desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.

We are looking for individuals who hold a minimum of one year's experience in support work, possess a Level 3 safeguarding qualification, and have GCSE or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in health and social care.
