Job Summary- Duty Manager Cargo- Cardiff Airport
To efficiently manage, motivate and engage staff to ensure delivery of customer airline targets whilst complying with all Company and customer procedures, policies and brand values.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
1. Control and monitoring of the shift and work activities
2. Accountability for production of accurate and detailed Handling Reports as and when required and of a standard suitable for forwarding to customers / internal senior management
3. Maintaining a strict cost control on labour and equipment whilst on shift and possession of foresight to plan ahead for fellow colleagues
4. Management responsibility for all staff, utilising available manpower and equipment resources through warehouse, ramp and office facilities to maximize productivity
5. Monitoring of sickness on a shift to shift basis, ability to conduct sickness interviews together with a thorough knowledge of the disciplinary process/procedures
6. Maintaining compliance in Health & Safety, Training and Quality whilst ensuring the relevant statutory, regulatory and company policy requirements are met
7. Maintaining excellent communication with all relevant stakeholders
8. Monitoring and control to ensure smooth operation of Reception

Qualifications
Qualifications and Competencies
9. High School diploma or higher
10. Minimum of 5 years experience within the industry
11. Thorough working knowledge of Cargo, Warehouse and Ramp processes
12. Effective leadership, organisational and communication skills, consistent with a very busy 24/7 Cargo Operation
13. Excellent knowledge of the Operation Office function
14. Good working knowledge of PC systems and Microsoft Office
15. Customer focus and quality awareness with high standards of quality and service level goals
16. Strong resource management and interpersonal skills
17. Ability to work in inclement weather
