About the role
We are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst L3 to join our growing SOC team based at our Head Office on the Gateshead Quayside.
You will be conducting in-depth investigations, responding to malicious or complex alerts and improving detection fidelity through tuning. You will serve as the line of escalation for L2 Analysts, ensuring complex and malicious alerts are promptly reviewed, contained, and remediated.
Our ideal candidate would be an experienced analyst, who is an instinctive problem solver and able to investigate, contain, and remediate complex incidents. Strong communication skills will help you to effectively communicate and explain incidents and security issues in a way that non-experts can understand.
Efficiency is also important to succeed, as you will be managing a diverse workload.

What you will be doing
* Conduct in-depth investigations of malicious incidents or complex alerts escalated by analysts.
* Mentoring and training analysts.
* Assist in incident response and post-incident reviews.
* Prioritising and managing workload effectively, managing several open Incidents and requests whilst following existing procedures and best practices.
* Support continual improvement by identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency, including automation of manual processes.
You will suit the role if you have
* Experience with monitoring security tools such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft XDR
* A willingness to learn and good attention to detail.
* Experience in conducting security investigations and triaging alerts.
* Familiarity with incident response and post-incident reviews.
* Understanding of threat intelligence and its integration into operations.
* Strong communication skills for handling customer calls and emails.
* Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team.
* It is advantageous but not essential to have the following certificates: BTL1, TryHackMe Level 1, SANS / GIACs, SC-200, CCFR.
An understanding of Incident Response operations and qualifications specific to incident response handling will be useful.

Salary
£45,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location and Working Arrangements
You will be based at Aspire's Gateshead Head Office with travel as required.
Hours of Work
Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday however, some flexibility may be required on occasion for shift cover.

Interview Process
We generally conduct interviews in three stages, lasting approximately 2-3 weeks depending on everyone's calendars.
