RUNNING ACCOUNT MANAGER
Specialist Sports Limited is a well-established sporting goods agency offering Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Creative solutions to performance sports brands including world-leading brand adidas.
Specialist Sports is committed to growing its capabilities as an authentic route to market and solution provider for an expanding roster of brands and categories.
The Running Account Manager will join our Running Specialist Team with a growing business, working with exciting industry-leading products to deliver market-leading standards and ensure an enhanced customer experience.
The Role
The Running Account Manager will manage the fulfilment of Specialist Sports commitments to wholesale trade accounts & other partners. The role will include:
* Managing a targeted list of Running customers, maximizing revenue through B2B and B2C channels by ensuring timely dispatch, on-time-in-full (OTIF), and managing daily queries.
* Working with a northern UK account base.
* Growing the Running categories via new and existing customers, including developing existing accounts and finding new business opportunities.
* Collaborating with the Category Manager to forecast and control inventory for Running categories and related products.
* Supporting Specialist Sports & retail partners' events and expos.
* Working with brand coaches to deliver product technical training, promotional activations, and supporting retailers with technical content.
* Managing and developing the Running customer orderbook for timely fulfillment.
* Maintaining the Running database of wholesale & B2B customers, ensuring accurate contacts and engagement dates.
* Creating multimedia sell-in tools for the Running categories and maintaining the Specialist Sports website with accurate product info and marketing materials.
* Handling general sales inquiries via all media, coordinating with the fulfillment team to ensure prompt order delivery.
* Performing other duties as delegated by the Category Manager or Sales and Marketing Director.
The ideal candidate should have relevant trade experience and qualifications, an enthusiastic professional approach, and a personal affinity with sports, especially running. The role is primarily field-based with frequent travel to our Southampton office. Specialist Sports offers flexible working hours with minimum core hours, but working hours may vary as needed.
The candidate should be capable of understanding customer needs, developing effective communication, and supporting customer success using our products.
