This full-time role is ideal for a confident teacher who is passionate about early Key Stage 1 education and supporting pupils as they build strong foundations in their learning journey. The school has a nurturing ethos, supportive leadership, and a strong focus on high-quality teaching and pupil wellbeing. You will take full responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering engaging lessons that support both academic progress and personal development, while working closely with teaching assistants and the wider school team. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum. Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment. Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps. Differentiate lessons to support pupils of varying abilities and learning needs. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders. Maintain accurate records and contribute to parents evenings and staff meetings. Support pupils academic, social, and emotional development. The Ideal Candidate Holds QTS or equivalent. Has recent experience teaching in a UK primary school, ideally in Key Stage 1. Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills. Has excellent curriculum knowledge and the ability to differentiate effectively.
