* The Senior Specification Technologist is a key role, with responsibility for supporting the creation and maintenance of specifications for new and existing products across over 40 EMEA markets

* Role split between West London office (2 days a week) and home (3 days a week)
The role:
* As Senior Specifications Technologist you will work cross functionally to ensure the accurate creation, maintenance and management of product specifications across multiple markets in the UK, Europe and Middle East.
* The Senior Specifications Technologist will ensure effective communication with other functions on the progress of specifications, raising any issues with timing and ensuring that products are launched on time with accurate data (eg ingredients, allergens, nutritional information etc).
* The Senior Specification Technologist will keep up to date with routine reviews of the specifications and ensure that any changes are implemented quickly.
* In the role you will utilize effective communication skills to develop and grow strong relationships with supplier technical teams.
* The Senior Specification Technologist will be responsible for driving continuous improvement by reviewing existing standards and documentation to highlight areas that will benefit both internal and external stakeholders, enhancing the specification process and keeping up with best industry practices.
* The Specification Technologist will work accurately to ensure the success of recipe management systems and ultimately the outcome of campaign and product launches across the business.
Ideal candidate:
* This role is ideal for individuals who have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar role. Experience will have been gained from retail, hospitality or FMCG (Food/Drinks) this must include compliance and specifications understanding.
* You must have excellent data, excel and report writing skills along with a relevant degree (Food Science, Food Technology or related field), Power BI experience is a bonus.
* For the role you will have good knowledge, compliance and be up to date with best industry practices regarding requirements of food safety, QMS (Quality Management Systems) and labelling legislation. (Eg ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, BRC Standards etc).
* You will have a natural interest in keeping up to date with changes in legislation and also a keenness to learn about new categories and areas and develop yourself further. You must have a strong understanding of food labelling legislation and allergen management.
* It is essential to have fantastic stakeholder engagement, relationship building and communication skills both internally and externally.
* It is essential that you have excellent project management experience along with the ability to drive engagement and execution across the wider business.
