Main duties and responsibilities:
* Participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment
* Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others, respecting confidentiality
* Support service users with meal preparation, laundry duties, cleaning, and social events
* Maintain accurate notes and records as required
* Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care
Personal Characteristics
* Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one
* Experience supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues
* Ability to stay calm under pressure
* Confidence to work independently or as part of a team
* Excellent communication skills
* Passion for working with vulnerable adults
* Commitment to safeguarding standards

CareTech Community Services Ltd supports over 5,000 adults across more than 300 services in the UK, offering care pathways for individuals with various needs including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, challenging behaviour, mental health issues, and brain injuries. Services include supported living, shared housing, residential, and outreach programs. We promote independence and self-confidence.
Successful candidates will need to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure, with costs covered by the employer.
