Overview
** FULL TIME OFFICE BASED ROLE IN REDDITCH**
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer with at least 5 years experience to join our dynamic team. We would also be open to consider a Junior Project Engineer role. The job is full time office based in Redditch. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in engineering principles and demonstrate proficiency in various engineering software and tools. This role involves overseeing engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring that all specifications and standards are met while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency.
Duties
* Lead the design and development of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
* Utilise Simulink for system modelling and simulation to validate design concepts.
* Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to develop control systems for automation projects.
* Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in design specifications.
* Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and CAD software.
* Develop algorithms and scripts using MATLAB for data analysis and system optimisation.
* Interpret schematics to understand system functionality and integration requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution, including testing and validation phases.
* Engage in system design activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Skills
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to apply engineering principles effectively.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Simulink, and PLC programming.
* Experience with root cause analysis techniques for problem-solving in engineering contexts.
* Familiarity with GD&T practices for accurate design documentation.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics for complex systems integration.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration within teams.
