Situated in the heart of Hamble Village, Port Hamble is an extremely busy and high-profile visitor destination. We aim to deliver the highest level of service and experience for our members and customers, demanding the very best from our team every day. To help us deliver exceptional service we are seeking to recruit a Marina Operative to join the team at MDL Port Hamble Marina, you may also be required to work at Hamble Point and Mercury Yacht Harbour. You will be passionate about providing the best possible levels of customer service and will put the customers needs first every time. You will deliver an outstanding customer experience, exceeding expectations daily. This is a full-time position working a 42 hour average week, 12 hour shifts, 4 days on 4 day off including bank holidays. The role will include: Overseeing the berthing allocations of vessels Serving Fuel on the Fuel Barge To carry out general maintenance tasks as required To ensure all customer enquiries are dealt with both promptly and efficiently Assisting in actively marketing and promoting the marina and associated services Maintaining the security of the site Carry out all duties in line with Company policies, particularly focused on compliance with H&S and Customer Service standards The key requirements for this role are: Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible and positive can do attitude An ability to deliver the highest standards of customer service General maintenance skills elf-motivated and able to work without supervision Confident use of IT systems A practical, resourceful and common-sense approach Good practical boating skills (not essential but an advantage) Competent swimmer Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent There is also full on-job training leading to industry-recognised qualifications.
