Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS) £168.80 – £261.78
Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Newcastle. The role begins in January 2026 and will run for two terms initially, with the potential for extension. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate specialist to deliver engaging and creative lessons across KS3 and KS4
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons
* Prepare practical sessions and maintain a safe learning environment
* Assess, track and report on student progress
* Contribute to curriculum planning and department development
* Support the wider school community and participate in department activities
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
* Experience teaching Food Technology is essential
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the curriculum
* Effective classroom management and communication skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
