The Project
Our client is the utilities provider in the South-East geographic area. Their purpose is to deliver services in an environmentally sustainable, economically beneficial, and socially responsible manner and create sustainable long-term value for all.
As the Quality Manager, you will work within capital delivery, and you will work with project teams in a collaborative environment interacting positively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the simultaneous delivery of a number of water and water recycling projects and/or programmes within their AMP8 programme. The role will ensure our clients project governance procedures are followed including risk, cost and change control and will work collaboratively with other teams across the business to deliver projects.
Manage the implementation and delivery of a comprehensive range of risk services to support commissions and provide line management leadership and guidance for others within the PMO and planning centre of excellence and the wider Mace business (e.g. other Hubs, international business and other centres of excellence) as required.
Please note: This role will be based in Peterborough 2-3 days per week. The successful risk manager will have a good understanding of project, programme and portfolio risk within the construction/infrastructure sector.
You’ll Be Responsible For
* Managing risk management performance across assigned commissions.
* Developing and implement robust risk frameworks and strategies.
* Acting as trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders.
* Delivering quantitative risk analysis for cost and schedule.
* Advising on contingency adequacy in reporting cycles.
* Ensuring compliance with Mace standards and legislation.
* Mentoring and manage junior risk professionals.
* Driving innovation and best practice for service excellence.
You’ll Need To Have
* Expert knowledge of risk tools, techniques and software (e.g., Active Risk Manager, riskHive, @risk, Primavera Risk Analyser).
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
* Proven ability to manage complexity and drive outcomes.
* At least 10yrs experience or equivalent as risk management leader delivering a range of project risk management services on major construction programmes.
