There are multiple positions available in East Yorkshire. This role is suitable for qualified SEN / SEND tutors who want to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support is delivered through flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and may require educational and social-emotional support
Tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions that meet individual needs and advance educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance with obtaining at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK residence and right to work (including for remote/online assignments)
We require all staff to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service; paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers the work; not a self-employed position
