Role

The People Professional Apprentice will support the HR function across the full employee lifecycle, helping to deliver an efficient, compliant, and employee-focused service. This apprenticeship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience while completing a
Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship
, developing the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed for a career in HR.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide day-to-day support in HR administration including recruitment, onboarding, payroll data, and record-keeping.
* Assist in drafting employment contracts, policies, and HR communications.
* Support with employee relations matters, including note-taking during meetings.
* Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in line with GDPR and company policy.
* Help coordinate staff training and development activities, including mandatory training compliance.
* Participate in HR projects such as wellbeing initiatives, equality & inclusion, and policy reviews.
* Support managers and employees with HR queries, escalating appropriately when needed.
* Contribute to HR data reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
* Engage with external training providers to ensure successful completion of the Level 5 apprenticeship programme.

Apprenticeship Training

* You will be enrolled on the
Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship
(aligned with CIPD Level 5 Diploma in People Management).
* Study time will be allocated during working hours in accordance with apprenticeship funding requirements (minimum 6 hours per week).
* On successful completion, you will achieve a recognised HR qualification and be eligible for CIPD Associate membership.

Essential Requirements

Essential Requirements

* Commitment to completing the Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship.
* Strong interest in HR, people management, and organisational development.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
* Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Minimum eligibility: must meet the government apprenticeship funding requirements (e.g., right to work in the UK, not currently enrolled in another funded apprenticeship, sufficient English & Maths).

Essential Requirements

* Previous experience in an office or administrative role.
* Understanding of HR or employment law basics (through study or experience).
* Experience using HR systems or databases.
* Interest in pursuing a career in HR or people management beyond the apprenticeship.
