About Us: Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care started formally operating in July 2023, through the merger of two successful organisations, Rennie Grove Hospice Care and Peace Hospice Care. We offer exceptional, specialised and highly valued care, serving our local community of people affected by life-limiting illness or bereavement, across Herts and Bucks.
About the role
The purpose of this role is to identify, cultivate and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and prospects to build a philanthropy network to secure long-term support. High net worth is regular gifts in excess of £3k. This will be achieved by excellent stewardship and collaboration to ensure that projects and opportunities exist that will excite our donors and maximise philanthropic income.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate, improve and deliver the major donor strategy ensuring philanthropic income is maximised.
* Analyse the effectiveness of activities, using a test-and-learn approach to continuously improve engagement.
* Research, cultivate and develop relationships with high-net-worth individuals to maximise income from existing and new supporters.
* Ensure that all relationships with high-net-worth individuals are maximised and stewarded to the highest standards.
* Work closely with the Mid Value Relationship Fundraiser to identify and nurture prospects through the philanthropy pipeline.
Person specification
* Excellent communication, relationship building and networking skills.
* Credible and persuasive, with the ability to work with and influence high level supporters and prospects.
* Demonstrable ability to provide excellent personalised stewardship/customer care to supporters/clients/customers, cultivating long-term relationships and making them feel valued.
* Previous experience in the charity sector and/or experience of relationship fundraising is desirable. If you can demonstrate successful relationship building skills from another sector, please consider applying.
* Experience of understanding and controlling budgets.
* Demonstrable collaboration to achieve a goal or project success.
* Ability to build good working relationships across a diverse range of people.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire.
* Excellent planning, organisational and implementation skills.
