Job Title: Science Teacher Location: Littlehampton Working Pattern: 3 Days Per Week Contract: One-Year Fixed Term Contract Key Stages: KS3 – KS4 Start Date: ASAP / September Start Available Overview: Pink Tile Education is supporting a welcoming secondary school in Littlehampton in their search for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher. This is a part-time position teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 on a one-year fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing positively to the wider school community. Role Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum. Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners. Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development. Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations through structured teaching and revision strategies. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and behaviour for learning. Work collaboratively with the Science department to plan schemes of work and share best practice. Adapt teaching approaches to support students with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs. Participate in departmental meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities. Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing. Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4. Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A commitment to supporting student achievement and wellbeing. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
